Looking for something fun to do in the Jacksonville Beach area at Christmastime? Head to Jax Beach for the “Deck the Chairs” celebration!
A free event held in downtown Jax Beach from Nov. 23, 2022, to Jan. 1, 2023, this celebration features beach chairs that are decorated (or “decked”) in various themes by local organizations and sponsors. This event helps raise money for local communities and hosts events featuring local artists, like dancers and bands, on select nights so be sure to check the schedule of events if you want to experience any of them!
Parking is free, there’s a lot of free parking at the nearby beach parking lots, and it’s handicap accessible and dog friendly. Very family friendly as well, of course, and there’s also a tent filled with local vendors selling treats and a few products.
Overall, this is a really fun Christmas event that I highly recommend for anyone, especially families! It’s a fun photo opportunity and place for the kids to explore and run around – and it’s at the beach, so what can be better?!
