Seeking a bit of excitement? Not afraid of heights? I recommend an aerial park and ziplining!
I am lucky enough to have recently experienced my first aerial park adventure at Mica Moon Zipline and Aerial Tours! While it wasn’t my first time ziplining, I’d been dying to try an aerial park and finally convinced some of my family to go while I was visiting.
Mica Moon is located in Liberty Lake, Washington, about halfway between Spokane, Washington, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
I’ll be honest… this experience isn’t exactly cheap, especially if you’re with a family. It’s $109 for ziplining, $55 for aerial park, and $149 for both, plus taxes. However, it was super fun and if you’re into outdoorsy activities literally up in the trees, I recommend it!
For our experience, we did the aerial park first. It was soooo much fun and incredibly challenging – much more difficult and physically exerting than I was expecting. Even the most physically fit of us in the group were tired and sore by the end of the day. I was sore for days in places I don’t know that I’ve ever been sore before – my fingers and entire hand from gripping the wires; my entire back from using it to balance, and my abs as well.
I, unfortunately, don’t have many photos of myself throughout this experience because I was the one brave enough to take out my phone to take photos of my family while they completed the obstacles + ziplined, but here’s what I have!
After the aerial park, we went ziplining, which was (of course) really fun! Most of the lines are smaller lines through the trees, but the last three are worth it! Imagine zipping over a canyon with tall trees – that’s this experience. I wish that they’d let me record while zipping but on those longer lines, you need to hold on to the line and I didn’t have a GoPro or headmount or super technical camera equipment to use.
Overall, 10/10 would do again and would recommend! I love an outdoor challenge and I can’t wait to do it again.
