March 3, 2018
Two years ago on March 3, my very first blog post, ever, went live.
Coincidentally, I’ve recently posted my 100th blog post.
My blog has been my creative outlet and my place to be myself. To be honest, the people who read my blog probably know more about me than most of the people I know in real life. You get an insider’s look into my brain.
I write about what interests me, and what I think could potentially help or interest others. I love writing and educating, and I’ve been trying to find a career that best suits me and my passions. While my blog is still very small and I’m not making an income from it, I love it.
It challenges me to go out and experience new things. Whenever I feel like my blog might be getting a little stale, I’m pushed to go out of my comfort zone and try something new or go on a new adventure. It challenges my creativity, because I’m always trying to find new perspectives on stories or how to better my photography skills for my posts. It challenges my more technical computer knowledge. I know that my blog layout is still relatively simple, but I’ve been trying to learn how to make it more creative and personal. I feel like, because of my blog, I’m constantly growing my web knowledge. From writing to photography to web design, I’ve learned a lot because I have my blog.
I know that I primarily write about my travel adventures, but over the past few months I’ve been experimenting with posting more non-travel and life-related stuff, and so far, I think that it’s being received pretty well. (If not, let me know!) Besides travelling experiences, my blog has pushed me to try new creative outlets, such as exercising or the arts. I never would have started my fitness class series without the encouragement of my blog.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past two years and read at least a few of my 100 blog posts. I wouldn’t still be writing if it weren’t for y’all. Thank you for letting me follow my passion and use this blog as my creative outlet.
Cheers to two more years, and 100 more blog posts!
