Happy New Year!
It’s officially 2020 and a brand new decade. Welcome to the next chapter of your journey called life! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and you’ve welcomed in the new year with a minimal hangover.
2020 is probably (hopefully?) going to be one of my calmest years in a while [watch me jinx it by writing this]. Last year I dubbed “The Year of Change” because my life did a complete 180 halfway through the year and I’ve made a lot of life changes. But now, I’m settling into my new job and life here in Houston. I’m focusing on getting through one or two more years at my current job for the experience, so this is going to hopefully be a productive year of growth and prioritizing myself.
Along the way, I hope to have a few fun travel experiences. I will be spending a weekend in Chicago in February, which will be my first time ever going to Chicago, so I’m very excited for that. My mom and I have tentative plans to go to Italy in May, so fingers crossed that we can solidify those plans! Hopefully I can do fun weekend trips to neighboring cities, like New Orleans, Austin and San Antonio, and also visit my family in California, Washington and Arizona. Oh! And Hamilton is coming to Houston in July, so that’s probably going to be a highlight of my year because I’ve been wanting to see that show for YEARS.
But honestly, who knows how my year is going to turn out. The past few years, I’ve learned to just go with the flow and take experiences as they come. I’m planning on taking this year day by day, month by month. It’s all I really can do. That’s all anyone can really do.
May 2020 bring you peace and happiness.
I don’t really believe in “New Years Resolutions” because I think that you shouldn’t have to wait for the new year to begin things like healthy living, etc. BUT, in the spirit of the new year, here are a few things that I’m hoping to manifest in 2020:
- Continue with my fitness journey.
- Keep up my blog and continue to write.
- Find pride and growth in my job. Or, find another job that I’m even happier with here in Houston.
- Travel internationally
- Find time to visit family.
