I went to Hawaii! Hawaii is actually paradise and this trip was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. This is the first day of my week-long adventure, so check back in soon for the upcoming posts of my adventure!
I didn’t arrive in paradise until about 5 o’clock at night, so my journey doesn’t really begin until the following day, but travelling to Maui was interesting. I flew out of Phoenix and it was about a 6 hour flight. I flew on American Airlines to Hawaii and it was about $250 one-way.
On the plane, I had to sign an official form by the State of Hawaii that stated that I’m not bringing in any live animals, plants or produce. On my out of the state, I had to sign another form saying that I wasn’t taking anything home either. I think that it’s really interesting that I had to sign the form and state why I was there, etc. It was something that I wasn’t expecting.
After filling out and submitting the form, the flight finally and I made it to Maui!
When in Maui, I highly recommend renting a car. It can be quite pricey, especially for young people like me under age 25 because insurance goes through the roof (even though I’ve never been in an accident before…). I rented my car through Advantage Rent-A-Car and it ended up being $500 for four days. HOWEVER, I did get an incredible cherry red convertible Camaro.
